This instructor-led course covers residential A/C tune-ups and preventive maintenance, refrigerant diagnostics and EPA 608 handling, copper line-set fabrication, and heat pump service and cold-climate troubleshooting.

Every item is demonstrated on real equipment and signed off by an instructor, then tested in the written and practical exam on the final day. Scope of work and supervision still follow your own standards and local licensing.

Participants earn a Train America qualification validating job readiness for entry-level AC and heat pump service work.

Perform residential A/C tune-ups and preventive maintenance

Filters, coils, condensate lines and electrical inspection.

Diagnose refrigerant systems and handle refrigerant to EPA 608 standards

Manifold gauge readings, superheat and subcooling, leak detection by electronic, UV dye and soap-bubble methods, plus R-410A recovery, evacuation and charging.

Fabricate copper line sets

Filters, coils, condensate lines and electrical inspection.

Service heat pumps and troubleshoot cold-climate issues

Reversing valves, defrost cycles and dual-fuel operation.
