For new hires, helpers and career changers who want to work confidently on residential plumbing, with no prior experience required. Covers plumbing inspection and homeowner-facing service presentation, pipe joining across copper, PVC and PEX, fixture repair and replacement, water heater service, and drain clearing and gas-piping installation.

Every item is demonstrated on real equipment and signed off by an instructor, then tested in the written and practical exam on the final day. Scope of work and supervision still follow your own standards and local licensing.
- ON PASS
Participants earn a Train America qualification validating job readiness for entry-level residential plumbing service work.

Inspect residential plumbing systems and present service to homeowners
With clear diagnoses, materials lists and pricing.

Join pipe across copper, PVC DWV and PEX
Sweat-soldering, solvent welding, and expansion or crimp methods.
[03]
Repair and replace fixtures
Toilet rebuilds and lavatory faucets across cartridge, ball and compression designs.
[04]
Service electric and gas water heaters
Heating elements, thermostats, thermocouples, gas valves, T&P valves and anode rods.
[05]
Clear drains and install gas lines
From hand cable through water jetters, plus black-iron and CSST/TracPipe gas lines.
