Covers electrical measurement and residential troubleshooting, branch circuit wiring to NEC code, service panel installs and replacements, and grounding, bonding and low-voltage control circuits.

Every item is demonstrated on real equipment and signed off by an instructor, then tested in the written and practical exam on the final day. Scope of work and supervision still follow your own standards and local licensing.

Participants earn a Train America qualification validating job readiness for entry-level residential electrical service work.

Measure, read schematics and troubleshoot residential electrical faults
Using a digital multimeter, ladder logic and a streamlined fault-isolation flow.

Wire branch circuits to NEC code
Conductor sizing, 3-way switching, GFCI and AFCI outlets, and dedicated 240V circuits.

Install and replace main service panels
Busbars, breakers, and feeder and branch circuit runs.
[04]
Complete grounding and neutral bonding
And wire low-voltage control circuits with relays, contactors and step-down transformers.
